A brief background of the character: Born on a planet in the far reaches of the galaxy the woman known only as Galaxia came to always want more from life and herself, she did not believe that the "pathetic" little world she was born to was the world she was supposed to be on. Little is known about her childhood but she did travel to many other worlds searching for more power: alone and miserable. It was probably in her early teens that she discovered her power as a senshi but even that was not enough to satisfy her appetite. She wanted to have the strongest power in the galaxy.

It was during her travels through the universe that she found it, summoned by Chaos to the place where all stars were born called Sagittarius Zero star in the center of the universe. She made her base there, the Galaxy Cauldron, and began going through the universe collecting Sailor Crystals from the senshi of planets and stars throughout the universe. As her collection and power grew she also obtained followers to whom she gave some of the Sailor Crystals to in order that they might serve her, gain their own power, and get more crystals for her. Eventually this led her to Earth the home planet of Sailor Moon and the senshi of the solar system it belonged to (a backwater system compared to the planets out there). She sent her minions there first to weed out the senshi and gather their star seeds...although she personally collected the golden crystal, which belonged to Mamoru, herself. The senshi of Earth's solar system were eventually turned on each other until only Sailor Moon was left to fight. However, before the final blow could be struck, Galaxia was pulled to Centerverse.
